Tactile appoints Group Product Manager

Steven Baeyens has been promoted to Group Product Manager at Tactile Technologies.

After more than a decade at the company, Baeyens’ new role will see him taking over responsibility for the entire EMEA product range.

“Steven will now be involved in all large projects and key accounts developed within the EU region as well,” said Mauro Mercuri, group director of Tactile Technologies, following the announcement. As group product manager, Baeyens will also assist in appointing the right local product manager for the EU office.

The promotion comes as Tactile’s EMEA office, which is based in The Netherlands, really starts to grow from a business development perspective.

“This is a massive value add to the EMEA office, its staff and most importantly its customers,” Mercuri continued.

With close to 20 years’ experience in touch technology and relevant products, Baeyens has the required knowledge and expertise to offer invaluable support and guidance to both his customers and colleagues.

“This is a great new opportunity for me. I’m really looking forward to tackling all the responsibilities this role has to offer. What makes this an exceptionally exciting challenge is the fact that I get to be more hands on again in the European market, which is quite different from SA,” Baeyens said.

“I have worked with Steven for almost 20 years,” added Mercuri. “I can confirm that he is a huge asset to our organisation and someone I can count on 200%. Our customer base regularly make mention of his customer satisfaction orientated approach. He has been instrumental in us winning large accounts such as PNP and SPAR for our auto-id business and Mr Price for our touch screen business.”
